Daily Reading

I have to confess that I have forgotten to read the blog in a little while and when I realized that it really freaked me out. Not sure why...I guess I just felt like stuff might have gone on without me knowing about it. Anyways, Sunday was a huge success. Next up: an attempt at Newcastle? Any ideas for a name? Oldhovel, maybe? Anyways, subvert the dominant paradigm and stay classy.

Names and Labels

We'll keep this short and sweet. . .
1) Is the A.S.S label a go? Check out the picture in the side bar. If so, I'm sending it to printing.
2) We need a name for the Irish red. Thoughts?

Bear Bait Brew

Guys,
I realized while deleting emails last night to make way for new ones that we need a place to chronicle this friendship and journey into the nectar of the gods. While studying this morning, the angels showed their faces (or facies if you're in med school) upon me. . . the clouds parted and rays of epiphany reached their fingers out to find me. Something about "Polar bear bait" has always sounded a bit out of tune to my heartstrings. Well, these rays of epiphany strummed perfect chords on my heartstrings (much like the mouthfeel of last night's milk stout) and a picture of a black bear and fishing rod consumed my mind's eye. Maybe it's that the only polar bears I've ever seen are in concrete pits in overcrowded zoos when it's 90 degrees in the summer, but the polar part of our venture has never felt true. Thus, I propose the evolution of our company into the "Bear Bait Brew." This is our field of dreams. I can think of no better time for this than now just after our first drops of Sunrise Stout have been tucked away in their glass wombs. Friends, we built it, or rather brewed it, and Bear Bait Brew has come.
